Henley is regularly voted as one of England’s most beautiful places to live with a history extending back to the 12th century, a wide range of independent shops, home to the famous Henley Royal Regatta, the Chelsea Fringe Henley Festival, the Chiltern Arts festival and a farmers’ market on Thursdays and Saturdays. A good rail service to London is available from High Wycombe (9.5 miles distant) which has a 23-minute service to Marylebone. Skirmett village has its own pub, The Frog, which is well regarded for its food. Both Heathrow and Northolt Private Airport are within an average drive time of 45 minutes. A wide range of Independent schools within the area including Eton, Wycombe Abbey, Wellington College, Queen Anne’s School, as well as kindergarten, primary and secondary schools.
